The club meets Mondays at Lunch in B-220.

What is the RHS Environmental Club?

Since its foundation in 2008, the Environmental Club has been a student-run organization based in Rosemont High School whose purpose is to improve the sustainability of the campus and surrounding community as well as to raise people’s awareness of the impact they have towards their environment.

The club seeks to fulfill its purpose mostly through service, rather than promotion. There are many different ways environmental groups have been known to support their causes. There are those who focus on lobbying, others on group demonstrations, and some on strict lifestyle adherences; in the case of the RHS Environmental Club, its members are more geared towards performing service projects intended to directly benefit the environment. For example, over the last three years, the club has recycled over 10,000 pounds worth of material for Rosemont High School that would have otherwise been sent to a landfill.

Come Check Out the Environmental Club

Bring your lunch, sign-in, and come join.

We’re always accepting new, motivated students who want to contribute to the club, meet new people, or simply help improve their school environment, one bottle, can, or paper at a time.

Membership and Policy

Membership to the club is open to anyone, regardless of their beliefs, grade level, grades, or reputation.

Members should never have to pay a fee to enter the club. The degradation of the world’s ecosystems and the depletion of natural resources are issues that affect all humans; therefore, it is the club‘s belief that everyone should have the equal opportunity to help alleviate those issues.
