This week is Spirit Week. Monday is College Day. Tuesday is
Wacky Tourist Day. Wednesday is Dress Like You’re Going
to a Music Festival Day. Thursday is Throw-back to Any Decade
Day, and Friday is Class Colors Day. Freshmen:
White, Sophomores: Grey, Juniors: Yellow and Seniors: Blue.
The Seniors vs. Staff Basketball Game is Wednesday, June 8th
at 3:30 in the gym.
Encourage your senior to purchase their tickets for Grad Night,
which is June 14th from 10:30 p.m to 6:00 a.m. at SurfXTreme in
Elk Grove. Tickets are $30 if seniors buy them from the
Controller. If they wait to purchase tickets at the door,
the cost is $50.
There is a senior assembly Monday, June 6th during 4th period in
the Auditorium to discuss Graduation.
Senior finals are Tuesday, June 7th through Thursday, June
9th.

ASSETs goes until the last day of school. 7th periods
classes end on Friday, June 10th. The library and some
extra-curriculars stay open for finals week.

regular day schedule.
The Spring Concert is this Wednesday, May 25th at 6:30 p.m. in

The Memorial Day holiday is Monday, May 30th. School is

The ASSETs after-school program continues through the last day of
instruction, which is June 16th. However, the last day for AVENTA
and all other 7th period classes is Friday, June 10th, which is
the last full day of school.

and sophomores who take the Science CMA test this week, as well.
All students follow a block schedule every day except Wednesday.

the new system and reset their voicemail accounts, please try to
rely on email for communication. As quickly as possible, we will
provide all of you with the information you need to leave

We met with all seniors last Friday to review senior information,
including the Graduation Ceremony participation criteria and
important dates and instructions. Your senior should have brought
home a gold handout with everything we discussed.
Here is a quick review of the most critical items from the
assembly:
Tomorrow is the first day of the 4th quarter. Please
remind students about the importance of continuing to focus on
academic achievement, attendance and behavior. Let’s finish
strong!
One of the community meetings to discuss the district’s Strategic
Plan is tomorrow night, April 18th, at Rosemont from 6 – 7:30 in
the Library. If you can’t attend this meeting, there are six
other meetings at various schools around the district. Please
visit the district website for more information about dates and
locations.
Thanks to everyone who came out to the 1st Annual PTSA
Crab Feed! It was a huge success! Many people from around the
Rosemont community either attended, purchased tickets, but didn’t
attend, donated auction items or simply made a cash donation. A
highlight of the silent auction was an array of Rosemont student
artwork. Many thanks to art teachers Ms.
This is finals week. Monday through Friday are all shortened
days. Students are released at 12:15 each day unless they wish to
stay for lunch or have a 7th or 8th period
class. On Tuesday, students will take final exams in periods 1
and 2. On Wednesday they take finals in periods 3 and 4, and
Thursday is periods 5 and 6. Friday, January 29th, is
the last day of the first semester.
With the beginning of the new semester, please take the time to
talk to your student about some key strategies for academic
success: Daily attendance; arriving at school and to each class
on time; completing all in-class and homework assignments;
attending after-school and lunch tutoring for additional help;
following all class and school rules; and
Welcome back from Spring Break! The big news this week is the
Rosemont PTSA Crab Feed! The event we’ve all been waiting for is
this coming Saturday, April 2nd! There are no ticket
sales at the door, so buy your tickets now! No-host bar begins at
6:00 and dinner is served at 7:00. In addition to the food and
beverages, we will have a silent auction, sale of amazing
Rosemont student art and entertainment!
