Principal’s Message
May 28, 2018

In our ongoing efforts to secure a safer campus, beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, May 29th, we will be locking the gate between the cafeteria and the E building during the day. Students who take PE will have to use the walkway between the pool and the small gym to access the locker room doors in the back of the g-wing.

The last dance is this Friday, June 1st from 8 – 10 pm in the quad. For eligible students, tickets are $3 with an ASB card and $5 without.

Senior Awards Night is Thursday, May 31st at 6:30 pm in the Auditorium. Students who are receiving awards have received an invitation.

For students taking online credit recovery courses, the deadline for completing all coursework is this Wednesday, May 30th. For any additional information, please contact your student’s counselor.

If your 9th – 12 grade student was automatically enrolled in the extended learning summer program because he or she is off-track between 5 – 10 credits or between 5 – 10 credits off-track to meet A-G requirements, summer school begins on Monday, June 18th. If you do not wish for your student to attend this extended learning opportunity, please fill out an opt-out letter online or contact your child’s counselor. We are currently filling open spots with students who are more than 10 credits odd track or more than 10 credits off track to meet A-G requirements. Those students will be receiving welcome letters over the next few weeks. For students who are on track but wish to get ahead on credits, we also have two enrichment online courses, psychology and 3-D Design. Please contact your child’s counselor, Mrs. Vigil, or Mr. Predko to sign up for one of these courses.

Now for some great news…

Last week our Lady Wolverine softball team made it to the final 3 teams in the division. On Monday night, they played against Sierra HS out of Manteca. Both teams played and pitched a solid game. Rosemont had the bases loaded but could not get the hit that would’ve put them ahead. The ladies went on to lose a close game by a score of 2-1. Losing game 1 meant they had to play the #1 seed Calaveras in a “lose and go home” elimination game. Calaveras jumped out early in the first, but Rosemont fought back in the bottom half of the inning to take a 1-run lead. Calaveras would take the lead later in the game by 1 run. In the bottom of the 7th inning, with a runner on first and two outs, senior standout catcher Mason Pittaro hit a line drive right at the second baseman. The season ended on that play. The 2018 Lady Wolverine softball team went the furthest any softball team in Rosemont’s history has every gone. Great season, ladies, and kudos to coach Mills for all of his hard work!
