I am proud to announce that Rosemont High School has been awarded the 21st Century High School ASSETs Grant per the California Department of Education! This means that we have secured full funding for extended day learning for the next 5 years! Rosemont and Einstein Middle School have also been chosen to receive a 6-year Gear-Up grant to support English and math achievement! The purpose is to build a system of supports beginning in the 7th grade and continuing through all four years at Rosemont. We will keep you informed as we create plans over the next school year.
Please come out to the Spring Concert this Thursday, May 24th at 6:30 pm in the Auditorium.

For Seniors – Parents and Seniors don’t forget a Senior Trip 2018 mandatory meeting this Tuesday, May 22nd in the cafeteria @ 6pm. Both parent and students must be present.
Juniors and Parents/Guardians – get started early paying for your student’s upcoming Senior Trip for 2019. Signing up early will save you money. The meeting is Wednesday, May 23 in the Library. Come find out more about the trip that’s planned. Make the deposit and receive a ONE-TIME DISCOUNT. This is ONLY that evening. Monthly payments are offered, and by starting up now you will have a simple monthly payment. Don’t wait until fall when payments will be higher. For more information, contact 916-761-9591.
Thanks so much to Becky Hypolite for organizing a Senior Ball that was second-to-none. Thanks, as well, to Mr. Gosney, Mr. Naumann, and the ASB students who helped. From the decorations to the food, it was a night to remember for our class of 2018. Thanks for all of the work, Becky! As a side note, the Arden Hills staff remarked that our students were among the most respectful and well-behaved that they have every hosted. Thank you, seniors, for representing Rosemont so proudly!
Now for Some Great News…
Congratulations to Caleb Carr and Katie Zhezherya, who were honored as outstanding seniors at the Richard Pan Event at the Capitol last week. Caleb and Katie were recognized along with outstanding seniors from high schools around the region.
Rosemont Softball opens up the playoffs with 3 victories! The ladies won the first two games at home, Monday beating Placer (14-1) and on Wednesday beating Marysville (7-2). On Friday evening, our ladies continued to take care of business, beating the #1 seed Calaveras by a score of 11-4! Next up is Sierra on Monday at 5pm. The winner will move on to the Section Championship game, while the loser will have to fight their way back to the Section Championship Game. Good luck this week Lady Wolverines!!!
Congratulations to the Rosemont Track and Field team for an excellent performance at the Division 4 Section Championships on Saturday. Once again, the team was led by the talented senior David Lyubezhanin, who placed 2nd in the Triple Jump, 3rdin the High Jump, and 3rd in the 110 meter Hurdles. He will move on to compete at the Masters state qualifier next week. Jaylen Ward continued his stellar year in the sprints by placing 3rd in the 100-meter dash running 10.91. He saved the best for last by placing 2nd in the 200-meter dash and breaking the school record by running 21.87. Jaylen will also represent our school at the Masters meet next week.
