Rosemont just received a new phone system. While teachers learn the new system and reset their voicemail accounts, please try to rely on email for communication. As quickly as possible, we will provide all of you with the information you need to leave voicemail messages for staff. The new main number for Rosemont is (916) 395 – 5130. Thank you for your patience during this transition!

There is no block scheduling this week or next. All students follow the regular day schedule. AP testing for students in those courses is this week. Students who were absent last week will also do makeup CAASPP or Science CST testing.

Congratulations to the 3rd quarter Honor Roll students! Posters with students’ names will go up this week in the library window, and we will also post them on our website. These students work hard every day to achieve. They are all great examples of a commitment to excellence!

The Robotics team had a phenomenal experience at the World Championships in St. Louis! Although they did not make it into the final rounds, they had numerous high-scoring matches and had a very good chance of advancing. The team made history by making it to this level, and we are so proud of them. It was especially memorable for our outgoing seniors Tatyana Zhezherya, Josiah Sidhu, Tina Luong, Nick Johnson, Keshav Sharma and Scot Schroeder. They have been great role models and mentors, and have made the program what it is! Special thanks to Mr. Stafford for his dedication to preparing the students for their success. Thanks, as well, to the parents who accompanied the students on the trip. It was an experience none of us will ever forget…

This week in sports, due to the rain, softball will have 5 games this week with playoff implications on the line! Congratulations, Coach Mills! Baseball took a pair of games from Union Mine, keeping their league title and playoff hopes alive. Track and field teams both took down Cordova in their dual meet. Once again, Andre Williams dominated in the sprint races and Dru Kell jumped 20’6” in the long jump! On the girls’ side, the 4 x 100 team of McKenna Cader-Laney, Taylor Lee, Niah Tidwell and Nalani Mafi-Martinez won with a time of 51.13 seconds! This is the final week of the regular season of our spring sports before playoffs. Come out and support our student athletes!
