We are proud to announce that our attendance rate continues to improve! Thanks to all families for understanding how important it is that all students maintain at least 95% attendance. When students are absent, we miss them, and they miss important instruction and fall behind very quickly. We appreciate your support with this critical habit of success!

Seniors take the CAST science test this Tuesday and Wednesday during their government/econ class period. Please encourage your senior to do his/her best on this assessment.

The last day of the 3rd quarter is Friday, March 29th. This is a shortened day, and students are released at 12:06 pm.

Please put “Essence of Rosemont” on your calendar! This annual community event scheduled for April 5th from 5 – 8pm is the highlight of the year! Families from Albert Einstein and our feeder elementary schools, in addition to anyone in the community who would like to attend, are invited! Essence includes performances, demonstrations, information booths, a talent show, food, entertainment, and more! Following Essence at 8:00 is a family movie in the quad!

SCUSD has announced that the first day of school for the 2019-20 school year is Thursday, August 29th. The last day of school is Thursday, June 11th.

The behavior at Junior Prom was phenomenal. Thanks so much to our juniors and their guests for representing Rosemont so proudly at this event.

The RHS robotics team wrapped up their 2019 campaign on a high note with several well-played matches at the Regional Competition at UC Davis this weekend. In the end, the robot known as Gv2.1 was running great and had become a cargo-scoring machines (literally). While a 34th place finish out of 59 teams doesn’t sound great, the Sacramento Regional Competition has many top-tier teams that included two from China, two from Hawaii, and a bunch from Silicon Valley. Congratulations are in order for the SCUSD teams from SES and Kennedy. The SES Systematic Eliminators earned the safety award, and JFK a wild-card invitation to the world championships in Houston.

Thanks to all those who have provided tremendous support:
The SCUSD CTE dept.
The Brin Wojcicki Foundation
The Aerojet Rocketdyne (the regional GM visited the team Friday!)

And, of course, a special thanks to the friends, families, and fans of competition robotics who provided meals, transportation, and emotional support at the events and during the build season this year: my wife Lori (and her uncles), Rosemont Alum Josiah Sidhu, Bruce and Cynthia Lomperski, Hope Hocking, Stacy and Dana Fong, Lili Huang, Corrin Campbell, Kathleen and Juan Del Toro, Alannbert Millendez, alums Ramil Custodio and Victor Magana, Laura Chavez, Liz Vigil, Kim Stowel, and the Albert Einstein robotics team!
