Daniel Crenshaw and other 2016-17 Sacramento County Teachers-of-the-Year were honored at “Impact Night” at the Kings vs. Nuggets basketball game on March 11th. Fans joined the Kings Foundation for a special Salute to Educators, where Mr. Crenshaw and others were honored for their accomplishments as powerful agents of change in the community. Mr. Crenshaw was selected to shoot free throws, and his name was posted around the arena! He won Jamba Juice for the entire crowd! SCUSD and Rosemont High School couldn’t be more proud of this amazing, dedicated teacher.

As the weather begins to warm up, we want to remind our students about some of the restrictions in the Rosemont dress code. For the complete dress code, please refer to the 16-17 Student Handbook, which is posted on our website.

League play has started for our spring sports. Rosemont’s co-ed tennis team opened the season versus Cordova on Thursday afternoon at home. Our team picked up right where they left off last season with another league win, beating rival Cordova High School. Softball continued to roll with non-league wins over Monterey Trail and Foothill High. The Lady Wolverines opened league with a statement win – a 10-run ruling against Cordova HS after only five innings of play! Great job teams!

The pool is up and running! The entire pool had to be re-plastered, which took a great deal of time. Mike Vega, our Plant Manager, was diligent in following up, and the district maintenance staff went above-and-beyond to get it ready as quickly as they could. Our swim team is in the pool, preparing for another awesome season!
