I want to begin with some awesome news. Rosemont senior Daniel Mao was selected as Sacramento City Unified School District’s Top Student and received the prestigious George H. Clark Memorial Scholarship. This is the first Rosemont student to earn this distinction. We couldn’t be more proud of Daniel, who will be attending UC Berkeley in the Fall. Just one more example of all the amazing things happening at Rosemont.

This week, 9th through 11th graders take finals from Monday, June 8th through Wednesday, June 10th. These are all shortened days. Finals for 1st and 2nd period are on Monday, 3rd and 4th period finals are on Tuesday, and finals for 5th and 6th periods are on Wednesday. Thursday, June 11th, also a shortened day, is the last day of school.

Sophomore parents – a reminder that your student is now eligible to participate in the Summer of Service program at Rosemont. This free program runs from June 22 to July 30th – Monday through Thursday 8 – 2 p.m. Breakfast and lunch is provided for all students. After completing the program, students will receive 5 elective credits that count towards graduation. For more information, please visit www.summeratscusd.org or contact Emma Bravo at (916) 228-5844 ext. 1067.

To all of our Rosemont families, thank you for a wonderful year. I have appreciated all of your support more than you know. For our freshmen, sophomores, and juniors, we are already looking forward to 2015-16.  Wolverine Welcome Week is August 25th thru August 28th. Check the website for specific dates and times. We look forward to seeing all of our families there.
