With the beginning of the new semester, please take the time to talk to your student about some key strategies for academic success: Daily attendance; arriving at school and to each class on time; completing all in-class and homework assignments; attending after-school and lunch tutoring for additional help; following all class and school rules; and communicating with teachers and counselors about any academic or personal issues. All students will attend grade-level assemblies this Friday. This is an opportunity for us to revisit expectations for behavior and academic achievement and also provide students with other important second semester reminders.

In sports news, our wrestling team lost a tough match at Union Mine. In basketball, our boys varsity split their two contests with a loss at Cordova and a win at El Dorado. Great job boys! Girls basketball had two tough games this week, with league and playoff implications. On Tuesday, our Lady Wolverines took down Cordova by 16. The most exciting game of the week took place at Rosemont Friday night versus El Dorado. With the support of the band and the blue zoo, our ladies erased a 10-point deficit to come back and win by 3! Amazing game, and we are very proud of you! This coming Tuesday night is Senior Night for girls basketball. If you can make it out, the ceremony usually begins at 6:45 so the game can begin on time at 7:00. Go Big Blue!!!

The date for the first Rosemont PTSA Crab Feed Dinner is April 2nd. Tickets are $50 and are on sale now. In addition to dinner and beverages, there will be a raffle and a silent auction of amazing Rosemont student artwork. Doors open at 6, and NO host bar and appetizers are available at that time.
