The playoffs continued this week in Soccer and Wrestling. On Tuesday, our boys soccer team hosted Placer High School in the 1st round of the playoffs. The Hillmen jumped out to an early 2-0 lead. After a few halftime adjustments and a great goal scored by John Feika, the Wolverines cut the deficit in half. Our boys continued to get close to scoring a tying goal with shots off the crossbar and just wide of the net, but ultimately ran out of time and their season ended. Great season nonetheless!

Our Wrestling team had 3 students qualify for Masters (last step before State Finals.) Those students are Telman Gevorkyan at the 170 lb. weight class, Anthony Augustine Sosa at the 182 lb. weight class, and Laurenz Fredeluces at the 220 lb. weight class. During day 1 Laurenz went 0-2, Telman went 1-2, and Anthony went 2-1 and moved on to day two. On Saturday, Anthony qualified for State!!! He and Coach Wanlin leave next Thursday for Bakersfield for the competition. Anthony is only the 2nd wrestler in Rosemont’s history to make it to this level!!!!!!! Wow! Congratulations to Anthony, Coach Wanlin, and his assistant coaches for a job well done!
