It’s time to register for the PTSA 5K Scholarship run on Saturday, April 25th. Register by this Friday, April 10th, to get a free t-shirt. It’s $15 for students to register online at 5kscholarshiprun.info or on the PTSA website.

PTSA General Meeting is this Thursday, April 9th at 6 p.m. in the Library.

To raise funds for Grad Night, the PTSA is sponsoring a golf tournament on Saturday, May 9th at the Cordova Golf Course. Tickets are $60 for each individual golfer and $220 for a team of four.  The goal is for each senior to get two cart sponsorships. Seniors may turn in sponsorship forms and money to the Controller’s Office.

Congratulations to our Debate students who traveled to the Santa Clara University Invitational Tournament during the first weekend of Spring Break. The team of Kaitlin Raymond and Kaylee Silber took first place out of 30 teams in the Junior Varsity division! Congratulations to Kaitlin, Kaylee and all of the debaters who competed. Thanks, especially, to Mr. Nelson, our debate coach, who made this opportunity possible!

The Tournament of Champions for the Northern California Band Association Winter Guard and Percussion was incredible! 95 groups from 55 California and Western Nevada schools competed on Saturday, March 28th. Over 1,200 performers overall. Both Rosemont groups finished first in their divisions! Mrs. Wilmer is to be congratulated for coordinating and running this huge event. In addition to Mrs. Wilmer, a number of our music booster parents and parents and students from a variety of groups worked late into Friday night and all day Saturday – finishing cleanup around 9:00 p.m. Incredible dedication all around. You’re awesome, Mrs. Wilmer!

In sports news, boys’ baseball team won an Easter tournament sponsored by Cordova High School! To get to the finals, they beat Sac High, Center and Atwater, a Division I school! In the finals they beat Las Lomas. Throughout the tournament, they not only beat these teams but DOMINATED play. We’re so proud of our players and appreciate all of the efforts of Coach Mattingly and the rest of the coaching staff.

Congratulations to the March Students-of-the-Month!
