The Senior Trip final meeting is on May 17th at 6pm in the cafeteria. We will discuss trip times and complete emergency information forms. Parents and students must be present. 

The Class of 2018 Senior Trip Planning and sign up meeting is May 31st at 6pm in the cafeteria. Sign up your soon-to-be senior for senior trip and receive $25.00 off the balance of the trip. For more details, contact Crystal & Clear Travel 916-761-9591.

Rosemont Boosters Meeting is Wednesday, May 3rd at 5:30 in the Cafeteria. Looking for candidates for the upcoming 2017-2018 school year. If you would like to volunteer for students on campus, this is a great way to do so.

AP testing begins this week. Tests include physics, English Lit, US Gov and US History.

The spring play is here! Please put one or more of these dates on your calendar: Wednesday, May 3rd, Thursday, May 4th, Wednesday May 10th, and Thursday, May 11th. Start time is 7:00 in the Auditorium. Refreshments are served before the play begins and also during admission. Please come out to support our drama program!

Effective June 30th, RT buses and light rail fare vending machines will not accept pre-paid tickets and passes with a June 30th, 2017 expiration date. Between June 1st and August 31st, 2017, customers may exchange current, unvalidated Basic and Discount single fare tickets or daily passes (June 30th, 2017 expiration date) for a new fare media (June 30, 2018 expiration date) at the RT Customer Service and Sales Center located at 1225 R Street Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5:30 pm. Sheila Santos’ Art of Compassion painting was selected to hang in Assemblymember Kevin McCarty’s office! Congratulations to Sheila for her outstanding project.

The tennis team had a successful SVC League Tournament at Broadstone Racket Club. Ying Zhang was the overall winner in the girls singles division. She defeated Cordova 6-0, 6-4 in the finals and will be moving on to the section tournament in Stockton on May 4th. #3 doubles teams made it to the semi-finals. Airi Komukai and Zack Vicente lost a close match in a third set tiebreaker as did Destiny Fines and Zach Enney. Team playoffs will be on Wednesday, May 3 at Rosemont. We had a first-round bye and home court advantage for our first match. Overall, what a great season coming in first, with a record of 9 and 1!

In swimming, we had a number of swimmers who made it to the top 8 for the league:

  • Jarmaine Washington-Lopez 5th 50 Freestyle 
  • Riley Straw 5th 100 Backstroke 
  • Shawn Robinson 4th 100 Freestyle 
  • Bronze medal relay team 4×200 relay team of Jarmaine Washington-Lopez, Josh Grass, Riley Straw, and Shawn Robinson.
