April 27, 2015

Thanks so much to Cheryle Sutton who coordinated the 5k Scholarship Run on Saturday! It was a great event that drew out Rosemont families, Rosemont staff and members of the Einstein Track Team! We also truly appreciate the parent volunteers who came out to help.

This was another great week for Rosemont sports. Congratulations to our Tennis Team! For the first time, they won a team league championship! Thanks so much to Coach Tomczak and Coach Wilson for their work with our students. Also in sports news last week, track beat Galt and baseball beat Cordova!

A reminder that CAASPP Testing begins tomorrow, April 27th.  This week, 11th graders will take Math tests, and 10th graders take the Science CST. Tomorrow is a regular day schedule, but Tuesday through Friday, we will follow a block schedule. Each period is approximately two hours long. On Tuesday and Thursday, students will go to periods 1, 2 and 3. On Wednesday and Friday, students go to periods 4, 5 and 6. Students are still released at 2:46 every day. The block schedule does affect seniors who have unscheduled 5th and or 6th periods. Please discuss the time change with your student. The test schedule is posted on our website under the Standardized Testing Information quick link.

Our Family Dinner and Game Night is Friday, May 8th from 5 – 9 p.m. Proceeds benefit the freshman and sophomore classes.  Come enjoy great food and lots of fun family games!

Don’t forget that the PTSA is sponsoring a golf tournament on Saturday, May 9th at the Cordova Golf Course. The day begins with a free breakfast at Perko’s. Golf follows until the Awards Ceremony at noon. Tickets are $60 for individual golfers and $220 for a team of four. The proceeds go towards Safe and Sober Grad Night at SurfXtreme.

A reminder that if you have extra stuff lying around, or you want more business exposure, come out May 16h to the Community Rummage Sale at Rosemont High School. Premium spaces are available to reserve for $20 by emailing
