Tomorrow is the first day of the 4th quarter. Please remind students about the importance of continuing to focus on academic achievement, attendance and behavior. Let’s finish strong!

One of the community meetings to discuss the district’s Strategic Plan is tomorrow night, April 18th, at Rosemont from 6 – 7:30 in the Library. If you can’t attend this meeting, there are six other meetings at various schools around the district. Please visit the district website for more information about dates and locations.

The next General Meeting of the PTSA is this Thursday, April 21st at 6:30 p.m. in the Library. The general meetings are for all of our families, so we hope to see you there!

The PTSA 5k Scholarship Run that was scheduled for Saturday, April 30th, has been cancelled due to lack of participation. Thanks again to Cheryl Sutton for several months of planning for this event. Unfortunately, we simply didn’t have enough folks signed up to make it work.

The Spring Play is this week! Ms. Moynier and her team of actors have created another masterpiece. They perform this Wednesday through Friday in the Auditorium. Come out, if you can, to enjoy one of the shows! Tickets are $5.

Lots to report from the week in sports! Coach Tomczak does it again!!! The tennis team won the league title!!!!!!! Congratulations to her and all of her players. Playoffs start next week. We’ll keep you posted! Our track and field team had two meets this week: a team dual Wednesday vs Liberty Ranch and the BV Bronco Invitational on Saturday. Against Liberty Ranch, our Wolverines dominated all events. Our student-athletes took 1st place in both Men and Women’s 100, 200 and 400 meter sprints as well as both 4×100 and 4×400 relay teams. Individually, Taija Banks took first in both of the throwing events, Shot Put and Discus. Lastly, softball shut out El Dorado on a very windy Friday, 6-0.

Our baseball coach Jamy Habeger secured a number of donated trees for the area around the baseball fields and worked with several of his players to complete the planting. This is a wonderful addition to an already beautiful area, and we can’t thank them enough for their labor of love! What a difference already! Thanks, Coach, for making this contribution to the Rosemont community! We are excited to report that the Rosemont baseball team will play at Raley Field on Saturday, April 23rd at 6:00 p.m. They are also selling ticket vouchers for any Rivercats game throughout the 2016 season. The cost is $20, which gets you a ticket to the Rivercats game of your choice in the Senate section of Raley Field and also a ticket to the Rosemont game on Saturday. If you’d like to purchase tickets, ask any Rosemont baseball player or contact Coach Habeger at Jamy-Habeger@scusd.edu.

A reminder that our Athletic Department is selling Tri – Tip Dinner-to-tog. Find one of the following teams to place your order: Tennis, Girls/Boys Golf, Track & Field, Girls/Boys Basketball, swimming or polo, baseball or softball. You may contact the coach(es) directly. You may also contact Coach Welch from the girls varsity basketball team at (925) 250-3189 if you do not have an affiliation with a particular team. We are using Swingles Meats from Amador County. You have choices of different flavors for the tri tip, and the dinner menu is as follows:

  • Option #1 – Complete Meal that serves 4 people
  • Option #2 – Cooked and sliced ready-to-go tri tip
  • Option #3 – Frozen tri tip for you to cook

Place your pre-orders between April 10th and April 28th. The teams will not be selling on the day of delivery, so you will want to place your order now! Purchase using cash, check or credit card.

Thursday, May 12th, is the day you drive up to the front of Rosemont for delivery. Confirmation of payment and instructions for pick-up will come via email. Our coaches and teams are proud to be presenting this amazing dinner opportunity to our community, staff and parents.
