RHS Robotics: It’s In the Bag!

After 6 weeks of design and build, the RHS Robotics team put its
competition robot (Gv2.1) in a sealed bag, per the rules of the game. A second robot (Gv2.0) is being finalized for practice and
prototyping and should be fully operational by mid-week.

Every year, the game that FIRST presents has a theme. This year
the theme is in honor of the 1969 lunar landing. The game is called
“Destination: Deep Space.” The team is tasked with escaping a
planetoid that is susceptible to severe dust storms.

Thanks to the team sponsors: SCUSD Career Technical
Department, the Brin Wojcicki Foundation, Aerojet Rockedyne,
and ECD, the team has two guaranteed events in March. The first is March 7-9 at the Central Valley Regional Competition at the convention center in Fresno, and the second is March 21-23 at the UC Davis ARC for the Sacramento Region competition. Should the team qualify for the world championship, a third event in Houston would occur in April.

FIRST events are always free to the public.
