RHS Debaters Obtain a Bid to the Tournament of Champions!
Last weekend, Rosemont High school obtained a coveted
Tournament of Champions bid on the national circuit of policy
debate. Of the thousands of high schools that participate in policy
debate nationwide, only around two dozen may boast they have
earned this distinction. Few public high schools are able to succeed
on this level as policy debate is the most rigorous academic activity
in the country and is dominated by wealthy private schools. Congratulations to Jayden Watts and Kaitlin Raymond for achieving this feat! Thanks so much to Mark Hernandez, who coaches our debate
students, and to Ms. Summers, who is handling the administrative
side of this program. Without their work, this wouldn’t be possible.
