Due to a decrease in enrollment for the 2018-19 school year, we had to reduce by two teachers. Unfortunately, that necessitated a number of class changes. To minimize confusion on Monday morning, all students will receive a new class schedule in their first period class. They should check alphabetized lists on the library and cafeteria windows for their first period class, which may have changed. Thank you so much for your patience during this balancing process!
Club Rush is Tuesday, September 25th and Wednesday, September 26th in the quad during lunch. Students will learn about all of the clubs available here at Rosemont and have the chance to join!
The first general meeting of the PTSA is just before Back-to-School Night on Thursday, September 27th at 5:45 pm in the Cafeteria. Kona Ice and other refreshments will be available for purchase!
Back-to-School Night is this Thursday, September 27th from 6 – 7:30 pm. Parents AND students are welcome! This is a great opportunity for parents to visit students’ classes and meet their teachers. Students will bring home a blank schedule on Wednesday. They should fill this out and provide it to parents so you can follow their schedule, in order, at Back-to-School Night if students are not present. Each class is 10 minutes long with a 6-minute passing period between each one.
Rosemont High School is currently participating in the WASC Accreditation process. This is a 6-year self-review process that is required for all high schools. As a way to get your feedback about our school, we would truly appreciate if you could take the time to complete this parent survey. We really want to hear from you!!! Thank you for your participation.
On October 10th, all 9th and 10th grade students will take the PSAT. Normally, only sophomores take this test, which provides practice for the SAT and provides valuable information about college readiness. This year, the district will provide funding to allow all freshman to have this opportunity. Please help us message to students that this test is important and that it is a key step in preparing them for success throughout high school and beyond.
Please put Homecoming on your calendar!! The annual parade, which will begin in the Rosemont neighborhood, travel down Kiefer Boulevard, and end in the Rosemont High School parking lot is Friday, October 19th at 3:30 pm. The football games are also Friday, October 19th. JV starts at 5:15, and varsity is at 7:30. The Homecoming Dance is Saturday, October 20th from 8 – 11 pm in the main gym. Tickets go on sale soon. We want to see ALL of our families come out for the parade and the games!!! Our wolverines need your support!
