UCAN Meeting

Hello Wolverines!

Our monthly UCAN (you-can) meeting will take place on January 15 from 9-10am in the library. All seniors who are interested in applying to Historically Black Colleges and universities are welcome to attend.

 

Scholarship Board

Students who want free money for college should stop by and look at the scholarship board located in in the counseling office. Our most recent posting is a scholarship offered by the Sacramento Pioneer Association for $5,000. Applications are due February 1, 2019.

 

SMUD Internship for Students

SMUD is hiring line apprentices for students who are 18 years old and have earned a high school diploma. You will learn installation, maintenance and repair of distribution electrical systems. Salary is: $36.87-$53.88 an hour. If interested, sign-up with Mrs. Kamilos to attend an introduction meeting. Must sign-up by January 14th.

 

Senior Shirts and Sweatshirts

Senior shirts and sweatshirts are now for sale in the student store! head on over there at lunch to put your order in. shirts are $12 with ASB Card and $14 without. sweatshirts are $25 with as and $27 without. get them now before prices go up!

 

Sacramento City College New Student Orientation 

Hello Wolverines! If you applied to Sacramento City College for the summer or fall terms of 2019, you are invited to attend the in-person orientation on January 17, 2019, in the library. Orientation is mandatory for EVERY first-time student and is one of the steps to success! The Steps to Success include FAFSA, Los Rios Application, Orientation, Assessment, and Counselor meeting. If these steps to success are not complete, it could delay your financial aid. Sac City College is bringing this orientation to Rosemont on Jan.17, 2019 from 12-2pm in the Library. Questions? See your counselor!

 

ASVAB

The students who took the ASVAB in November will have an interpretation session on January 24th at 12:30 pm in room A139. That is a shortened day due to finals so this will be after school. The Interpreter will guide you through the ASVAB Exploring Careers Website allowing each student to receive immediate answers to questions about the ASVAB.
