Leadership and Enrichment through Academic Development (LEAD)

WHAT IS LEAD?

LEAD, which stands for Leadership and Enrichment through Academic Development, is an Advanced Placement/Honors program that prepares its students to be critical thinkers, analytical readers and writers, effective communicators, and well-rounded citizens. Graduates of Rosemont’s LEAD Program will develop the skills necessary to be successful in their post-secondary pursuits, including the increasingly competitive world of not only college acceptances, but also the global workforce.

Those in the program will develop their capacity for analysis, creativity, innovation, and university-level literacy through four years of an Honors and Advanced Placement curriculum and community service and service learning projects/presentations. It is our expectation that graduates of the LEAD program will gain acceptance to a university of their choice based on their performance in academically rigorous classes as well as on their involvement in a variety of community service and extracurricular activities, all of which create a mature, inquisitive, dedicated student and citizen.

High School Specialty Program Application

LEAD at Rosemont

Beginning this year, freshmen at Rosemont High School are placed into houses and are then eligible to join our programs/pathways as sophomores. This means that students coming from 8th grade will not be going directly into Culinary, ECD, LEAD, or Media; however, if your student lives outside of the Rosemont boundary, they can apply to come to Rosemont for the 24-25 school year so that they are in place to join their preferred program/pathway.

Information about how to apply for High School Specialty Programs throughout the district can be found here. The application period for the 2024-2025 school year begins on Monday, October 30th and closes on Friday, November 17th.

Rosemont Visitation Night

If you are interested in learning more about Rosemont High School and its programs/pathways, we have an Information Night scheduled for Wednesday, November 29th from 6:00pm-7:30pm.

Also, student visitations will be taking place during the school day on November 28th and 29th.
